Tribute from Becky

As most people know, our Mother was the queen of anecdotes and stories and she loved making others laugh. I’m surprised she did not have a skit on her funeral agenda or ask us to black out one of her teeth for the special day. She told me recently that she loved for Ann Jones to come visit because Ann would always laugh at her. I think laughing was what we did best together. We laughed an hour one time because I told her she had missed a few items when sweeping up my kitchen floor. No one else saw the humor…we did. Here are some of the things she taught me through a few of her anecdotes. Hikey Mo! She taught me to get up and go with a smile on my face. Fred Whimpered – She taught me it’s OK to give a crying child what they want just because you love them and we all know…..she was easy. LOK – She taught me that the Lord only knows what will come next and also it’s OK to laugh about the most annoying people in our lives. It makes them less annoying and it is great fun! She (and Buddy) taught me “whoop whoop”. We are all crazy in our own way. After a good meal….we can Bridge Over. “It Knowing Out There” – Our children are precious and we should remember the little things! Paper No Come – We can laugh about anything even at our Daddy. Don’t ever make a child choose between you and their pet. Doug loved Dinky and Mother both the same! Finally….Kiss My Grits and Whatever! She taught me it’s OK to have some attitude when needed! I love you Mama. Thanks for leaving all the big tips!
